Employee Monitoring
Posted by majed on March 7, 2023 at 3:07 amAside from teamlogger, what are some other things do you think employers use to keep track on the productivity of their workers in a WFH setting?

There are other softwares like Teamlogger that are used to track employee performance. Below is a link for other popular options:

In addition to such softwares, I think having a spreadsheet where employees check out the tasks they’ve done alone with adding the time accomplished and proof of accomplishment is a good option to track performance.

Aside from monitoring such as using Teamlogger, the other way to keep track of the productivity of the workers in a work-from-home setting is by having virtual meetings regularly to check them in and discuss the progress of their current task or work, as well as ask if they have any concerns or feedback.

ActivTrak is an employee monitoring software that can track the activity of employees on company-owned devices. It can monitor which applications and websites employees are using, and even block access to certain applications or websites if necessary. This can be helpful for managers who want to ensure that employees are using company resources appropriately and staying on task during their work hours.

This is similar to teamlogger, but instead of monitoring specific activities, it simply tracks how much time employees spend working. Some popular time-tracking tools include Toggl, RescueTime, and Harvest.

There are a number of ways for employers to keep track of how productive their workers are when they work from home. Some common ways are to use time-tracking software, keep an eye on internet usage and activity logs, look at task completion rates and deadlines, and check in with employees and give them regular reports on their progress. Some employers may also use tools like video conferencing and screen sharing to watch how their workers do their jobs in real time. But employers need to find a good balance between keeping an eye on employee productivity and respecting their privacy and independence. They also need to make sure that any monitoring methods they use are legal and moral.
