• Have ChatGPT ever made a mistake in your responses?

Posted by Reyna on March 9, 2023 at 1:23 am

It still depends on the command or inputs of a user. If the question or command is not specific enough to understand, then the answer or response from ChatGPT might not be the answer that you’re looking for.

Have you experienced this before? If so, how do you handle correcting them?

I agree with you. ChatGPT’s responses are inconsistent even though you use the same prompt all the time. Changing the construction of the sentence and changing the wording could help

It depends on what response you require. If you ask ChatGPT about current trends in 2023, ChatGPT will respond based on its data set from 2021 only. ChatGPT’s response may be similar, but it is not as accurate as today’s changes.

Yes, I agree! ChatGPT doesn’t have the most up-to-date information.

From a logical viewpoint, it hasn’t. However, the prompts that are being used must be precise in order to produce the result that a user wants.

Based on my experience, I tried asking ChatGPT a random question “Who is the youngest Finals MVP in NBA history”. He answered Kareem-Abdul Jabbar at the age of 22 in 1971 and sometimes Kawhi Leonard at the age of 22 in 2014. But, the real answer is Magic Johnson at the age of 20 in 1980.

Indeed it depends on the prompt you input and how your prompt construct 🙂

It depends on how you construct your prompts.

Yes, or if it’s already overwhelmed with a lot of topics in one conversation. So, try to maintain one topic in one conversation, so it will not get confused.

Yes, sometimes it’s the prompt, while sometimes it is the lack of information about the given topic

There were times when no matter how carefully thought out and comprehensive my prompts are, the results always come out as a “No-No”. So I did what I often do: I logged out of ChatGPT and then went back in, and that’s when I received a very favorable response.

ChatGPT can have a mistake in response depending on the prompt that you will use.
